The Benchmade Nimravus takes its name from a relative of the saber-toothed cat, which boasted enlarged forward canines that made it a particularly ferocious predator. The naming of the knife was no coincidence.
The 141SBK iteration of the Nimravus features a long 4.5-inch fixed blade made from 154CM high carbon stainless steel. The alloy holds an edge well and exhibits solid toughness. What improves the performance of the steel is black coating to increase wear resistance and hardness.
With a tanto point design and partially serrated edge, the blade is versatile in all types of applications — whether outdoor or tactical.
The full tang knife is enclosed by two 6061-T6 aluminum handle scales in black. The scales are machined with textures and patterns for a comfortable and reliable grip. Coming in at an overall length of 9.45 inches and a weight of 5.86 ounces, the knife can be carried reliably in an included nylon sheath.
The all-time best-selling combat fixed blade from Benchmade is truly no joke.
